Weight (kg) Number of chewable tablets: 17.5 kg - ½ tablet; >17.5 - 35 kg - 1 tablet; >35 - 52.5 kg - 1½ tablets; >52.5 - 70 kg - 2 tablets. Do not use for dogs under 17.5 kg. Tablets can be given directly or with food. No fasting required before or after treatment. Most dogs take the tablets willingly due to the lipid-coating and added flavor. Use a single dose. Consult a veterinarian for advice on repeat doses if re-infestation risk exists.

Avoid using in animals with known sensitivity to any active ingredients. Wash hands immediately after giving the tablet to the dog or adding it to the dog's food for hygiene purposes. If accidentally ingested, seek medical advice immediately and show the package leaflet or label to the doctor. Rarely, mild gastrointestinal symptoms like vomiting may occur. Do not use with piperazine, as it may reduce the effectiveness of pyrantel. Using with other cholinergic compounds can cause toxicity. Drugs that increase cytochrome P-450 enzyme activity, such as dexamethasone or phenobarbital, may lower praziquantel levels. Overdose: The combination of praziquantel, pyrantel embonate, and febantel is generally well tolerated in dogs. In safety studies, doses five times the recommended amount occasionally caused vomiting. Use during pregnancy, lactation, or lay: High doses of febantel have shown teratogenic effects in sheep and rats. No studies have been conducted in dogs during early pregnancy. Use during pregnancy should be based on a benefit/risk assessment by a veterinarian. It is advised not to use the product in dogs during the first four weeks of pregnancy. Do not exceed the recommended dose for pregnant dogs. The chewable tablets can be used during lactation.
