How to take

This medication is intended for external use only. Avoid applying the gel to damaged, infected, or inflamed skin, or to open wounds. Do not cover the treated area with airtight dressings like bandages, as this can increase the absorption of the medication and the risk of side effects. Wash your hands thoroughly after application, unless your hands are the treatment area.

Welzo is not liable for allergen information. Always follow the directions/ingredients on the product packaging to ensure proper use.

Warnings

Avoid getting this medicine in your eyes or on moist body membranes like the mouth or nasal passages. If contact occurs, rinse with cold water. When applied to the skin, diclofenac is absorbed into the bloodstream less than when taken orally, reducing the risk of gut-related side effects. However, individuals with a history of stomach or intestinal issues should be monitored by a doctor, especially if elderly. Contact your doctor immediately if you experience stomach pain, indigestion, heartburn, or signs of bleeding in the stomach or intestines, such as blood in stools. If large areas are covered with the gel, absorption increases, raising the risk of side effects, especially with frequent use. Do not apply the gel more than four times in 24 hours. Avoid excessive sunlight exposure while using this medicine to reduce the risk of sunburn. If symptoms persist after seven days or worsen, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not use this medicine for more than seven days unless advised by a doctor. Use cautiously if you have a history of asthma, allergies, or stomach/intestinal ulcers or bleeding. Do not use if you have allergic reactions to aspirin or other NSAIDs, such as asthma attacks, itchy rash, nasal inflammation, or swelling of the lips, tongue, and throat. Not for use in children under 12, during pregnancy, or if allergic to any ingredients. Inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have had an allergic reaction before. If you suspect an allergic reaction, stop using the medicine and contact your doctor or pharmacist immediately.

Pregnancy and breastfeeding: Some medicines should not be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless the benefits outweigh the risks. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy before using any medicine. This medicine is not recommended during pregnancy, especially in the third trimester, as it may delay labor and cause complications. It is not recommended in the first and second trimesters unless essential. Consult your doctor before using this medicine if pregnant. Diclofenac taken orally passes into breast milk in small amounts unlikely to harm a nursing infant. The safety of diclofenac gel during breastfeeding has not been studied, but it is unlikely to be absorbed enough to affect a nursing infant. However, it is not recommended for breastfeeding women. Seek medical advice before using this medicine if breastfeeding.

Side effects: Medicines can affect individuals differently. Known side effects include skin irritation, itching, redness, dermatitis, photosensitivity, and allergic reactions like bronchospasm or angioedema. Not all possible
