What is Clobetasol ?

The active ingredient in clobetasol is clobetasol propionate, a synthetic corticosteroid used in topical preparations. It is used on the skin to reduce the itching and inflammation due to skin breakouts. However, topical corticosteroids shouldn't be used without consulting the physician.

How does it work?

The corticosteroids work by blocking various mediators involved in the inflammation process. They also cause vasoconstriction, i.e., the constriction of the blood vessels at the local site, reducing inflammation and pain.
