The active ingredient lidocaine hydrochloride is a local anaesthetic. It works by stopping the sensation of pain while the other two ingredients chlorocresol and cetypyridinium kill the bacteria.

For Adults and the Elderly:

  • Apply the Anbesol liquid using the fingertip, undiluted to the affected area, if necessary, repeat the application after 3 hours,

For Babies and Children:

  • Apply the Anbesol liquid using the fingertip, undiluted to the affected area, if necessary, repeat the application after 3 hours. Do not use more than 6 times in one day (24 hour period)
