How to use

Remove the product from the outer packaging, take off the clear films, and place it on the wound with either side facing down. Use a secondary dressing of your choice, such as an absorbent dressing or a semi-permeable film dressing, based on the wound's condition. We suggest using Eclypse Adherent or Advazorb Border. Actilite can also be used with Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) or as a primary layer to reduce bacteria. Store at room temperature. Honey in the product may solidify in cold temperatures and become more liquid in warm temperatures. If hardened, warm it between your hands to soften before use. If too liquid, cool it in a fridge for a few minutes.

Please consult the product packaging for accurate instructions on how to use the product.

Warnings/Allergens

Actilite contains Manuka honey and Manuka oil. It is ideal for granulating or epithelialising wounds, providing antibacterial protection and promoting a moist wound healing environment. It is suitable for all wound types requiring a primary layer and antibacterial effect, including cuts, abrasions, burns, surgical wounds, leg ulcers, pressure ulcers, diabetic ulcers, and infected wounds. Although the honey is not absorbed into the bloodstream, monitor blood sugar levels in diabetic patients. Do not use if allergic to bee venom. Honey application may cause discomfort; consider analgesics based on wound sensitivity. If discomfort persists, stop use and rinse the wound with saline solution.
