Beclometasone Nasal Spray is a corticosteroid (steroid) that reduces inflammation in your nose, which help clears your nose by reducing swelling in blood vessels. The reduced swelling makes breathing easier as well as reducing the irritation of a runny nose.

Dosage of Beclometasone Nasal Spray

Commonly Used Dosage Guidelines for Beclometasone Nasal Spray

Always shake well before use. Only use in the nose. Do not swallow. To get the best results from Beclometasone Nasal Spray use the spray every day. For adults aged 18 years and over:

  • Spray two puffs into each nostril twice a day. The maximum daily dose is a total of eight sprays 
  • Once your symptoms have improved, you may be able to reduce the dose to one puff into each nostril once daily.
  • Do not exceed the recommended dose in a day. Use the lowest dose possible to control your symptoms.

How to use Beclometasone Nasal Spray?

Always take Beclometasone Nasal Spray exactly as prescribed by your doctor or advised by the pharmacist.

Beclometasone Nasal Spray use is not recommended for children under 18 years of age. 

  • The starting recommended dose is 2 sprays per nostril twice daily, follow the recommendation given by your provider. Do not exceed the recommended amount.
  • Before use, gently shake Beclometasone Nasal Spray for a few seconds. For the first time use, squirt the pump into the air until a mist appears to prepare it for use. 
  • To clear your nostrils, blow your nose and Insert the Beclometasone Nasal Spray tip into one nostril while keeping your head tilted downwards.
  • Place one finger on the other nostril to block it. While sniffing, press down on the white spray collar, breathe in through your nose and out through your mouth. 
  • Repeat the steps with the other nostril. Once finished, wash the Beclometasone Nasal Spray nozzle with warm water, wipe dry and replace the cap.
