Description

Katya as a Contraception

Contraceptive medications are used to prevent unwanted pregnancy and can also help to alleviate symptoms of menstruation. Katya is a combined hormonal 21-day contraceptive pill. It is used to prevent pregnancy and reduce menstruation symptoms. Katya is an effective contraceptive option and has added benefits of lessening premenstrual syndrome (PMS) as well as improving the skin. Katya is also known to lighten regular periods.

What is Katya and how does it work?

The two synthetic versions of the hormones oestrogen and progesterone, ethinylestradiol and gestodene, mimic the body's natural hormones to prevent ovulation and thicken the mucus in the cervix. As a result, it is more difficult for sperm cells to reach the egg. Katya can be over 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when taken correctly.
