Product Description

Most "lightweight" scooters are 25 kg and over. The Welzo CarbonFold 16 weighs 16 kg because its frame is carbon fibre – the same material as racing bikes and aircraft interiors – so it is strong enough for a 136 kg rider yet light enough to lift into a car boot with one hand.

Fold it in seconds, pull it along like a suitcase, and take it anywhere: the removable 7.8 Ah lithium battery is airline-approved for cabin carriage, and a full charge covers up to 9 miles. Tap your NFC card to start – there is no key to lose – and the 8-inch wheels and 12 cm ground clearance shrug off kerbs, cobbles and shop thresholds.

Why you will love it

16 kg carbon-fibre build – one of the lightest full-size scooters sold in the UK
Folds in seconds – then wheels along like luggage – no lifting through car parks
Airline-approved removable battery – fly with it, cruise with it, charge it anywhere
136 kg capacity – carbon strength without the weight penalty
Up to 9 miles range – a full day out on one charge
8" wheels and 12 cm clearance – clears 4 cm obstacles for a smooth ride on real pavements
NFC keycard start – tap and go; secure when parked
Pavement-legal 4 mph – no licence, tax or insurance needed

Pay with Finance

We understand that investing in a mobility scooter is an important decision, that is why we offer flexible payment options to make it easier.

Pay in 4 Interest-Free Installments

At checkout, simply select “Clearpay” as your payment method. Clearpay allows you to spread the cost of your mobility scooter over four interest-free installments, paid every two weeks.

Here’s how it works:

Choose Clearpay at checkout – no lengthy forms or credit checks.
Pay the first installment today – this is usually 25% of your order total.
The remaining three payments are taken automatically from your chosen payment method every two weeks.
No interest or hidden fees – as long as you make your payments on time.

It’s a simple, safe, and flexible way to make your mobility scooter more affordable, helping you get the independence and comfort you deserve — without the upfront cost.

Clearpay is available to UK residents aged 18 and over. Late fees may apply for missed payments. Terms and conditions apply.

VAT Relief

Some of our products, such as mobility scooters and daily living aids, are eligible for VAT relief under HMRC rules.

You can claim VAT relief if you are, or are buying for, a person who is chronically sick or disabled, and the goods are for personal or domestic use.

This means the person has a long-term illness or disability that substantially affects their everyday activities.

At checkout, you’ll be asked to fill in your details and confirm the declaration below to claim VAT relief:

“I confirm that I am, or I am buying for, a chronically sick or disabled person, and that the goods are for personal or domestic use.”

By agreeing to this declaration, you are confirming that you meet the conditions set out by HMRC Notice 701/7 for VAT exemption. You can read more here.
