What is Daktarin Cream?
Daktarin Cream is commonly used to treat fungal infections, e.g., ringworm, athlete's foot, tinea, thrush etc. It is applied to the skin to treat fungi and their associated bacterial infections.
How does it work?
The active ingredient in this cream is miconazole nitrate. It destroys the fungal as well as associated bacteria. It belongs to a class of antifungal drugs called imidazoles and stops the growth of disease-causing fungi.
Is the Daktarin Cream suitable for me?
It is suitable for adults and children having signs and symptoms of fungal infections. It is, however, not suitable for pregnant and breastfeeding women. It should only be used for infants less than 6 months of age after consulting the Doctor.
