What is Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief?
Voltoral contains Diclofenac sodium which is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAIDs) which typically provides pain relief for muscle injuries, back pain and joint inflammation.
How does it work?
Voltarol has been formulated as an emulgel, which creates a reservoir of diclofenac when applied regularly. This provides a continous release of diclofenac resulting in a long lasting pain relief. Diclofenac works by reducing the productions of prostaglandins, these are the chemicals responsible for pain & inflammation in the body.
Is Voltarol Max Strength Pain Relief suitable for me?
Voltarol Max strength gel may not be suitable if the following applies:
- For a patient under 14 years of age
- Allergic to Diclofenac or any other anti-inflammatory drugs
- If taking other anti-inflammatories
- If taking blood thinners or anti-coagulant drugs
- Pregnant or breast-feeding
