What are Piriton Allergy Tablets?
Piriton Allergy Tablets are used to treat the symptoms of hayfever and other allergies, including skin rashes, itchiness, redness, swelling and other irritations caused by a histamine response.
How does it work?
The tablets contain the active ingredient chlorphenamine maleate, which is an antihistamine that works to block the body's allergy (histamine) response to irritants.
Are Piriton Allergy Tablets suitable for me?
Piriton Allergy Tablets can be used to combat allergies associated with pollen, animal dander, house dust, as well as insect bites and stings. Also suitable for reducing nettle rash, hives and dermatitis symptoms. Intended for use by ages 6 and up.

Dosage
Commonly Used Dosage Guidelines for Piriton Allergy Tablets.
For adults and children aged 12 years and over:
- Take one tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
- Do not take more than 6 tablets in 24 hours.
For children aged 6 to 12 years:
- Give ½ tablet every 4 to 6 hours as needed.
- Do not give more than 6 half tablets in 24 hours

Warning and Precautions
Piriton Allergy Tablets may not be safe if taken with other medication or recreational drugs. Please inform the prescriber if you are taking any of the listed medications.
DO NOT use Piriton Allergy Tablets:
- If you experience a severe allergic reaction to the medicine consult with your provider.
- If you are allergic or have had an allergic reaction to antihistamines or other ingredients in this medication. Avoid if you have taken products that contain antihistamines, including medicine to relieve coughs and colds.
- Avoid using Piriton Allergy Tablets if, in the past two weeks, you've taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors for depression.
- Do not use Piriton Allergy Tablets continuously for more than 14 days before consulting a doctor or pharmacist.
- If you have high blood pressure, epilepsy, heart disease and other chronic health issues, please consult your doctor before taking Piriton Allergy Tablets.
