Welzo UK Medical Review Board

Ensuring Clinical Accuracy, Safety and Trust in Every Word

At Welzo, accuracy and medical integrity are central to our mission.
Our Medical Review Board is composed of qualified doctors, pharmacists and healthcare specialists who ensure that all health information, test content, and product descriptions published on the Welzo platform are evidence-based, medically accurate and up to UK standards.

Every article, product guide and service description is reviewed by our medical experts to confirm it aligns with NHS, NICE and World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, as well as UK regulatory requirements under CQC, UKAS, and GPhC frameworks.

Our Mission

The Medical Review Board’s purpose is to ensure that all medical and health-related content on Welzo is:

Clinically accurate and regularly updated.

Ethically written and free from commercial bias.

Easy to understand, without sacrificing scientific accuracy.

Compliant with UK healthcare regulations and data protection laws.

We believe that trust in digital healthcare is built through transparency and clinical governance.

How We Review Content

Our medical review process follows a strict, multi-step approach designed to ensure patient safety and informational accuracy.

  1. Content Creation – All health articles and product guides are created or commissioned by qualified professionals or trained medical writers who use evidence-based sources.

  2. Clinical Review – A GMC-registered doctor, pharmacist, or subject-matter expert reviews each piece of content for accuracy, safety and compliance with current medical guidelines.

  3. Quality Assurance – Our internal QA and analytics teams check references, verify data, and confirm clarity and accessibility for a general audience.

  4. Regular Updates – Each article is given a clear “last reviewed” date and is re-evaluated at least once every 12 months, or sooner if new medical research becomes available.

This process ensures that every page on Welzo is accurate, unbiased, and clinically trustworthy.

How Welzo Operates

Welzo operates as a digital healthcare marketplace, connecting patients to verified medical partners rather than directly providing medical services.
We work exclusively with CQC and UKAS-registered laboratories, GPhC pharmacies, and clinical providers.

Each partner operates independently under UK healthcare law.
While Welzo ensures the credibility and regulation of all listed partners, we cannot be held liable for the professional actions or decisions of independent third-party providers.

This model allows Welzo to maintain transparency while offering access to trusted, regulated healthcare options for patients nationwide.

Reviewed by a qualified medical professional before publication.

A “last reviewed” or “last updated” date appears on every medically reviewed page to maintain transparency and accountability.
