The number of Nicorette Gums you use daily depends on your smoking habits and the strength of the cigarettes. Use 2 mg gums if you smoke 20 or fewer cigarettes per day, or if you are a heavier smoker reducing your intake. Use 4 mg gums if you smoke more than 20 cigarettes daily. Do not give this product to children under 12 years. For adults and children 12 years and older: If you smoke 20 or fewer cigarettes daily, use one 2 mg gum as needed to curb cravings. If you smoke more than 20 cigarettes daily, use one 4 mg gum as needed. Use only one piece of gum at a time. Most people use 8 to 12 gums per day, but do not exceed 15 gums daily. Stopping Immediately:
- Adults 18 and over: Set a quit date, stop smoking, and use the gum for up to 12 weeks to manage cravings. Gradually reduce gum use until you stop completely. If needed, switch from 4 mg to 2 mg gums during withdrawal. Consult a healthcare professional if using for more than 9 months.
- Children 12 and over: Set a quit date, stop smoking, and use the gum for 8 weeks. Reduce gum use over 4 weeks until you stop completely. Consult a healthcare professional if using for more than 12 weeks.

Stopping Gradually:
- Adults 18 and over: Determine your daily cigarette count and set a date to reduce smoking. Use Nicorette Gum to replace cigarettes
