Product Description

Dermol Cream is an antibacterial and moisturising emollient cream that prevents and treats dry skin conditions, such as dermatitis and eczema and suits people of all age groups. It is a trusted antibacterial and emollient treatment for dry, itchy skin conditions like eczema and dermatitis. It soothes irritation and keeps the skin protected and hydrated.

It is safe for use during breastfeeding and pregnancy and has no known drug interactions. However, it contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause reactions in some individuals. It is suitable for daily use and offers long-lasting hydration and effective relief for sensitive and problem-prone skin.

Features & Benefits of Dermol Cream

  • The antibacterial and emollient formula provides hydration while preventing bacterial infections, making it an excellent choice for treating eczema and dermatitis. It has a combination of isopropyl myristate (10% w/w), liquid paraffin (10% w/w), chlorhexidine dihydrochloride (0.1% w/w) and benzalkonium chloride (0.1% w/w).
  • It is safe for breastfeeding and pregnancy and usable without concern during nursing. It has no known interactions with medications.
  • It sometimes causes local skin reactions, as it contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may irritate sensitive individuals. In such cases, it is advised to consult a doctor.
  • It is non-greasy, easy to apply, and absorbs quickly into the skin without leaving a heavy residue, making it ideal for daily use.
  • It needs storage below 30°C to maintain effectiveness and freshness.

Ingredients/Specifications

Benzalkonium chloride (0.1% w/w), chlorhexidine dihydrochloride (0.1% w/w), liquid paraffin (10% w/w) and isopropyl myristate (10% w/w), cetostearyl alcohol, glycerol, cetomacrogol 1000, phenoxyethanol, disodium phosphate dodecahydrate, sodium dihydrogen phosphate dihydrate and purified water.

How to take

Apply only to the skin. For best results, use regularly and as needed. To unlock the 500 g bottle, turn the pump dispenser top anti-clockwise. These instructions are the same for all ages: For leave-on use: Apply Dermol Cream to affected areas and gently smooth it in. Allow excess to absorb if needed. Do not rub vigorously. Reapply as needed. If using another treatment on the same area, avoid mixing by applying them alternately, allowing time for absorption. For use as a soap substitute: Use Dermol Cream for washing instead of soap or shower gel. It will not foam. After washing, pat the skin dry with a soft towel, avoiding rubbing.

Welzo is not liable for allergen information. Always follow the directions/ingredients on the product packaging to ensure proper use.

Warnings

Please note that this product contains Liquid Paraffin, which is highly flammable. Keep it away from open flames, gas fires, hobs, and candles, and avoid smoking while using paraffin-containing products. Wash bedding and clothing regularly to reduce paraffin build-up, as it may not be fully removed unless washed at high temperatures. Do not use Dermol Cream if you are allergic to benzalkonium chloride, chlorhexidine dihydrochloride, liquid paraffin, isopropyl myristate, or any other ingredients in the cream. For those with sensitive skin, test the product on a small area first, especially on the face or young children. Apply more generously if no side effects occur. Avoid contact with eyes, particularly when using on the face. When used as a soap substitute, the product can make surfaces slippery, so take care to prevent slipping in the bath or shower. This product does not interact with other medicines and can be used during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Although the ingredients have been used widely without reported issues, safety trials have not been conducted. The product contains cetostearyl alcohol, which may cause skin reactions in some individuals. Consult your doctor if you are sensitive to cetostearyl alcohol before using this product. If you forget to use it, continue as usual next time. If the product gets into the eyes, rinse with plenty of water and seek medical advice if irritation persists. Dermol Cream may cause side effects, though not everyone experiences them. It is designed for dry or problem skin but may cause local reactions in rare cases, especially in skin folds. Stop use and consult a doctor if your skin condition worsens or if side effects are unacceptable. If swallowed and you feel unwell, seek medical help without inducing vomiting. Keep out of children's reach and sight. Do not use after the expiry date on the container and carton, which is the last day of the month indicated. Store below 30°C and always replace the cap after use. For the 500 g bottle, turn the pump dispenser top clockwise to lock it.
