Description of Eumovate
What is Eumovate?
Eumovate contains a mild to moderate-strength steroid that is used to treat and relieve symptoms of inflammatory skin conditions. Eumovate is available as both a cream and an ointment. It is very effective in treating acute flare-ups of eczema, dermatitis and psoriasis.
How does it work?
The medication containing the ingredient clobetasone butyrate 0.05% can reduce the number of symptoms related to eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis as well as insect bites. The clobetasone mimics the naturally produced hormones made by the adrenal glands and the steroids suppress the inflammation response.
Is Eumovate suitable for me?
The cream will be able to reduce itching and signs of irritation from allergic reactions and the above mentioned skin conditions as well. It is a steroid cream and should be used as per the medical advice. It may not be suitable to use if the following applies:
