Vardenafil dilates the blood vessels in the penis and relaxes the muscles to stimulate more blood flow. The increased blood flow helps to achieve and/or maintain an erection to enable sexual activity. The main ingredient, vardenafil, is a part of the group of drugs commonly referred to as phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors. Vardenafil can help achieve and/or maintain an erection when sexually stimulated.
