What is Beconase Hayfever Relief?
This spray is used to treat the symptoms of asthma, allergic rhinitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) etc. This spray contains beclomethasone dipropionate (0.05%) as the active ingredient, which is a corticosteroid compound used to treat inflammation.
How does it work?
The active ingredient is a corticosteroid which reduces the local inflammation by suppressing various mechanisms involved in the inflammation. It switches off multiple genes activated in response to the inflammation. The inflammation is an immune response, and overdoses of corticosteroids can negatively impact the immune system.
Is the Beconase Hayfever Relief suitable for me?
Beconase Hayfever Relief may be suitable for you if suffer from sneezing, itchy nose and eyes, runny nose, nasal congestion, sinus discomfort and watery eyes. Consult the patent leaflet for more indications. It is suitable for you if you are 18 or above. However, it is unsuitable if you are allergic to it, taking other corticosteroids, have undergone recent nasal surgery, have a nasal infection, or are pregnant. If suitable, it can reduce the local inflammation in the respiratory passages. However, a steroid should be used after consulting the doctor.
