The blue capsules are intended for use at night. They contain 500mg of paracetamol and 25mg of phenylephrine hydrochloride, like the white capsules, but instead of caffeine, they contain 5mg of diphenhydramine hydrochloride. This is an antihistamine that helps to relieve a runny nose and sneezing, and also has mild sedative properties to aid sleep.

The capsules are easy to swallow and can be taken with or without food. For adults and children aged 16 and over, the recommended dose is two capsules every four hours, up to a maximum of four doses in 24 hours. For children aged 12 to 15, the recommended dose is one capsule every four hours, up to a maximum of four doses in 24 hours.

The capsules should not be taken for more than seven days without medical advice. They should not be used by anyone with a severe heart or circulatory disorder, high blood pressure, or an overactive thyroid. They should also not be used by anyone taking certain other medications, including monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) or tricyclic antidepressants.
