Viscotears Liquid Gel (for Dry Eyes) 10g is a medication used for the relief of dry eyes. It contains the active ingredient carbomer, which helps to lubricate and protect the surface of the eye, reducing the symptoms of dryness, irritation, and discomfort. The gel is applied directly into the eye using a dropper for long-lasting relief of dry eye symptoms. It is suitable for use by adults and children over the age of six.

How to Use:

Before applying the gel, properly wash your hands.
Tilt your head back and look up.
To create a pocket, gently pull down your lower eyelid.
Hold the dropper above the pocket and squeeze one drop of the gel into the pocket.
Slowly release your eyelid and blink a few times to help spread the gel over the surface of the eye.
Repeat the process for the other eye.
Replace the cap on the dropper after use.
Use the gel as often as needed, usually up to four times a day or as directed by your family doctor.

Things to consider before starting to use Viscotears Liquid Gel:

If you wear contact lenses you should take these out before you put the drops in your eyes. You should not put the lenses back in for at least 30 minutes.
Talk to your doctor before you start to use Viscotears liquid gel if you have problems with your eyes apart from sore or dry eyes.
If you are you using any other eye drops, you should normally wait 5 minutes between treatments. Viscotears liquid gel should always be the last of the eye drops used. However, ensure that you consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
If you are pregnant or breast-feeding discuss whether you should use Viscotears liquid gel with your doctor.
