Commonly Used Dosage Guidelines for Aciclovir Cream

• Apply on the cold sore FIVE times a day for 5 days or as advised by the prescriber. 
• Wash your hands before and after using the cream.
• Apply a thin layer of cream to lesions every 4 hours (5 times daily) for 5 to 10 days, starting at the first sign of attack.
• Do not put Aciclovir Cream inside your mouth, in your eyes or near genital area. 
• Use the cream for 5 days. If the area has not healed by then, please contact the prescriber for further advice.
