Dosage and Administration
A 75 mg tablet of ascriptin OTC is readily available. One tablet, taken with meals and before bedtime, should be taken as directed. The tablets for Ascriptin prescription come in strengths of 75 mg and 150 mg. One tablet, taken four times daily, should be taken at bedtime and 30 minutes before meals.
Two tablets taken four times per day for eight weeks is the recommended dosage for treating ulcers.
Side Effects
Ascriptin's most frequent adverse reactions are headache, lightheadedness, nausea, and diarrhea. Call your doctor right away and stop taking Ascriptin if you experience any of these side effects.
