What is Thick & Easy Original Instant Food & Beverage Thickener?
Thick & Easy Original Instant Food & Beverage Thickener is a white powder that is specially designed to be added directly to cold and hot foods as well as drinks. It easily and quickly thickens fluids and foods for patients who have difficulty swallowing (known as dysphagia), e.g. conditions such as stroke, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, Parkinson's disease, motor neuron disease, malignancies of the throat and oral cavity, neurological disorders caused by injury or disease.

Thick & Easy Original is lactose and gluten free. Thick & Easy Original can be added to all cold and hot liquids, nutritional supplements, and all types of hot or cold pureed foods in order to develop a thicker consistency and prevent aspiration.

Recommended Dosage: 1 level scoop = 1.5g

IDDSI Framework:
- Level 1: Slightly thick
- Level 2: Mildly thick
- Level 3: Moderately thick
- Level 4: Extremely thick

For 200ml liquid:
- Level 1: 5 scoops
- Level 2: 6 scoops
- Level 3: 7 scoops
- Level 4: 8 scoops

Instructions for thickening liquids: Add the specified number of level scoops of powder to 200ml of liquid and stir quickly with a whisk or fork until dissolved. The liquid will thicken within 1 minute.

Instructions for thickening pureed foods: Add the required amount and blend until smooth.
