How to take

To remove a tablet, use a fingernail to break the foil along the dotted line before pressing the tablet out. Tablets can be gently sucked until they dissolve on the tongue. Water is not needed as they form a pleasant-tasting paste that is easy to swallow. Alternatively, the tablets can be dissolved in a teaspoon of water or milk if preferred. Dosage by age:

- 6-9 years: 1 tablet up to 4 times a day
- 9-12 years: 2 tablets up to 4 times a day
- 12-16 years: 2-3 tablets up to 4 times a day
- Adults and children over 16 years: 2-4 tablets up to 4 times a day

Do not exceed 4 doses in any 24-hour period. Allow at least 4 hours between doses. Do not administer this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without consulting a doctor or pharmacist. Do not exceed the recommended dosage. Do not use this medicine with any other product containing paracetamol. Not suitable for children under 6 years old. Consult your pharmacist for a suitable alternative.

Welzo is not liable for allergen information. Always follow the directions/ingredients on the product packaging to ensure proper use.

Warnings

This medication is generally safe for most individuals, but some should avoid it. If unsure, consult your doctor or pharmacist. Do not give this medicine to your child if they have had an allergic reaction to any ingredients, are taking other medications containing paracetamol, or have phenylketonuria. If any of these conditions apply, seek advice from a doctor or pharmacist before using Calpol. Consult your doctor or pharmacist if your child has severe kidney or liver issues or is taking other medications such as metoclopramide, domperidone, colestyramine, anticoagulants, or anticonvulsants. If uncertain about your child's medication, show the bottle or package to your pharmacist. If any of these points apply, consult a doctor or pharmacist.

For adults taking this medicine: Additional warnings are provided for adults. You can use this medicine with oral contraceptives, but it may be less effective for pain or fever. High alcohol consumption may increase the risk of paracetamol side effects. Seek advice from your doctor or pharmacist before using this medicine if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Aspartame (E951) contains phenylalanine, which may be harmful to those with phenylketonuria. For oral use only.

Consult your doctor if your child requires more than the recommended doses or if their pain or fever persists after a few days. Seek immediate medical attention in case of an overdose, even if the child appears well, due to the risk of delayed liver damage. If you miss a dose, administer the next dose when needed, ensuring at least 4 hours have passed since the last dose. Do not double the dose.

Possible side effects: Calpol Six Plus Fastmelts may cause side effects, though they are uncommon and usually mild. Contact your doctor immediately if you observe allergic reactions, unusual fatigue, unexpected bruising or bleeding, or increased infections. These are rare effects in paracetamol users. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms, discontinue paracetamol and consult a doctor.

Long-term use: Prolonged daily use of paracetamol-containing medicines may lead to liver and kidney damage. Short-term use as directed has not shown these issues. Report any unlisted side effects to your doctor or pharmacist. Keep the product out of children's reach and sight. No special storage conditions are required. Do not use after the expiry date on the packaging. Do not dispose of medicines via wastewater or household waste. Ask
