What is Frovatriptan?

Frovatriptan is a medication that relieves the symptoms of migraines and headaches. This medication does not prevent or reduce migraines but can provide relief from pain and discomfort.

Frovatriptan is a treatment for the headache phase of a migraine attack.

How does it work?

Frovatriptan is a selective serotonin receptor agonist which narrows blood vessels around the brain to prevent feelings of pain and nausea.

Is Frovatriptan suitable for me?

This medication is not suitable for those with low blood pressure or severe liver disease.

Dosage

Your dosage is dependent on your doctor's recommendations and the extent of your condition.

Recommended Dosage for Frovatriptan

  • Take one tablet when you feel the onset of a migraine
  • Do not exceed the maximum dose of 5 mg (two tablets) in 24 hours

Side Effects

Please examine whether you are allergic to any of the listed ingredients.

Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.
