What is Mefloquine?

Mefloquine is a medication used to treat and prevent malaria. Malaria is a disease that is passed on from person to person through mosquito bites. 

How does it work?

This antimalarial is able to treat and prevent malaria in areas where the disease has developed an immunity to other malaria medication. The active ingredient mefloquine hydrochloride stops the parasite from reproducing and causing further harm to the body. 

Is Mefloquine suitable for me?

Malaria is a serious health risk when travelling to some areas including South-East Asia, Africa, Central and South America, some Pacific Islands and parts of the Middle East.
