What is Minocin MR?
Minocin MR capsules are a prescription medication for the treatment of mild to moderate acne. The active ingredient is minocycline 100mg in a modified release formulation. It belongs to a group of antibiotics called tetracyclines. It works by preventing the growth and spread of bacteria.

How to take Minocin MR?

- Minocin MR is not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
- Take 1 Minocin MR tablet at the same time daily and swallow it whole with water. You can take the tablet with or without a meal.
- Minocin MR should not be taken right before lying down, take medicine while upright.
- If you forget your daily dose, you can take it as soon as you remember, unless it is time for your next dose. Do not double dose.
- If you take more than the recommended amount, please contact a doctor immediately or visit a hospital.

- Take one capsule every day at the same time each day
Warning and Precautions
Minocin MR may not be safe if taken with other medication or recreational drugs. Please inform the prescriber if you are taking any of the listed medications.
DO NOT use Minocin MR:
- If you are a child under 12 years of age.
- If you've experienced an allergic reaction to ingredients in Minocin MR or any tetracycline antibiotic such as doxycycline, oxytetracycline, minocycline, and tetracycline.
- If breastfeeding, pregnant or planning a pregnancy, taking Minocin MR is not recommended.
- If you have liver disease.

Side Effects
