Product Description
Benylin Children's Night Coughs 6+ Years 125ml is a specially formulated cough syrup designed for children aged six years and above. It comes in a 125ml bottle, making it a convenient size for home use or travel. The primary function of this product is to provide relief from coughs that may disturb a child's sleep. It is particularly effective for nighttime coughs, helping to ensure that your child gets a good night's rest.
The active ingredients in this cough syrup are diphenhydramine hydrochloride and levomenthol. Diphenhydramine hydrochloride is an antihistamine that helps to reduce the production of mucus, thereby relieving a runny nose and reducing coughing. Levomenthol is a mild local anaesthetic and decongestant that helps to soothe the throat and make breathing easier.
This product is sugar-free and has a pleasant raspberry flavour, making it easier for children to take. It is also non-drowsy, so it won't interfere with your child's daily activities. However, it is potent enough to provide relief from coughs and cold symptoms, helping your child to sleep better at night.
The dosage instructions are clearly printed on the bottle and the enclosed leaflet. For children aged 6 to 12 years, the recommended dose is one 5ml spoonful to be taken four times a day. For children over 12 years and adults, the recommended dose is two 5ml spoonfuls to be taken four times a day. It is important to follow these dosage instructions to ensure the product is effective and safe.
Before using this product, it is advisable to consult a healthcare professional if your child is currently taking any other medication, has any underlying health conditions, or is allergic to any of the ingredients. This product should not be used in children under six years of age.
The bottle comes with a child-resistant cap to prevent accidental ingestion. However, it is still important to store this product out of the reach and sight of children. It should be stored in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
This product is manufactured by Benylin, a trusted brand in children's healthcare products. They are known for their high-quality products that are both safe and effective. This cough syrup is no exception. It provides fast and effective relief from nighttime coughs, helping your child to sleep better and recover faster.
