Nicorette Gum

While Nicorette gum is a much better alternative to smoking cigarettes, it does come with some potential problems.

- The gum contains butylated hydroxytoluene (E321), which may cause local skin reactions (contact dermatitis) or irritation to the eyes and mucous membranes.

- Each stick of gum contains sorbitol which is a source of fructose. If you have fructose intolerance, this gum may not be suitable for you.

Also, if you overuse the Nicorette gum, you may experience uncomfortable symptoms.

Nicorette gum comes in two strengths. If you smoke 20 cigarettes or more per day, you should use the 4 mg gum as required to relieve cravings.
