What is a Flixotide Accuhaler and how does it work?
Flixotide Accuhaler contains the active ingredient fluticasone propionate which is a corticosteroid. This type of medicine has an anti-inflammatory action which reduces swelling and irritation in the lungs. This inhaler provides a small dose of steroid medication to your lungs when inhaled.

If you are diagnosed with asthma, COPD or other breathing condition, you may be prescribed a Flixotide Accuhaler by a doctor or healthcare professional. However, it may not be suitable for you if you have the following:

Always use a Flixotide Accuhaler exactly as prescribed by your doctor or advised by the pharmacist. The recommended starting dose for adults is 100 micrograms twice a day to treat asthma, however, in presence of other factors, this may be increased or decreased accordingly as per the prescriber's clinical judgement.
