The Flixotide Accuhaler is an inhaler device used to help prevent asthma attacks from occurring. This is a preventer inhaler suitable for daily use and should not be used in cases of sudden asthma attacks.

What is a Flixotide Accuhaler and how does it work?

Flixotide Accuhaler contains the active ingredient fluticasone propionate which is a corticosteroid. This type of medicine has an anti-inflammatory action which reduces swelling and irritation in the lungs. This inhaler provides a small dose of steroid medication to your lungs when inhaled. 

Is a Flixotide Accuhaler right for me?

If you are diagnosed with asthma, COPD or other breathing condition, you may be prescribed a Flixotide Accuhaler by a doctor or healthcare professional. However, it may not be suitable for you if you have the following:

• If you are allergic to any other ingredients in this medicine
• If you have (or have had) Tuberculosis or other lung infections
• If you are taking steroids to treat asthma
• If you are taking a protease inhibitor antiviral medicine, or cobicistat containing products
• If you are taking medicines used to treat fungal infections
