Dermovate is a topical preparation available as a cream and an ointment. It contains a potent steroid Clobetasol propionate 0.05%. It is available on prescription only and can be prescribed to treat inflammation, itching and pain associated with skin conditions such as eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis etc. It can also be used to treat an allergic reaction on the skin.
Dermovate is generally prescribed for short-term use and should be applied as a thin layer to the affected skin.
