How does it work?
Combined contraception pills work by preventing eggs from being released from the ovaries, thickening the mucus in the cervix and thinning the lining of the womb.

When should I start the Levest pill?
Levest is a daily contraceptive pill that you should start taking on the first day of your period. If you start Levest on any other day, you will need to use additional contraception (such as condoms) for the first seven days. You should take one pill every day, at the same time each day. It is important that you take Levest at the same time each day to maintain its effectiveness.
What kind of pill is Levest?
Levest is a levonorgestrel-based contraceptive pill, which means it contains a synthetic form of the hormone progesterone. Levonorgestrel is a progestin, which is a man-made form of progesterone that is used in many different types of birth control pills. Levest is considered to be a "mini-pill" because it only contains one type of hormone, as opposed to the two types (oestrogen and progesterone) found in most birth control pills. Levest is a low-dose pill, which means it has a lower concentration of hormones than many other contraceptive pills.
Is this medication suitable for me?
Please get in touch with a doctor if you are unsure what medication is suitable for you. You can also complete our online consultation form to check your eligibility for the product.
How is the medication delivered?
All orders placed before 14:00 from Monday to Friday will be dispatched that day. The orders are sent using 24 Hour Tracked delivery provided by Royal Mail. Items will usually arrive the very next day after the order has been placed. We also provide tracking for your orders to check the status and location of your parcel. All our medication is packaged in plain confidential padded white or brown envelopes. This ensures that your orders are discreet, and the content of the orders will be for your eyes only.
Is Levest the same as Rigevidon?
No, Levest and Rigevidon are not the same. Levest is a levonorgestrel-based contraceptive pill, while Rigevidon contains two different hormones (ethinylestradiol and levonorgestrel). They are both used as birth control methods, but work in slightly different ways. Levest is a mini-pill that only contains one type of hormone, while Rigevidon is a combined pill that contains two hormones. Levest is also a low-dose pill, while Rigevidon is a medium-dose pill.
What are the benefits of Levest?
Levest is a contraceptive pill that can help to prevent pregnancy. It is 99% effective when taken correctly, making it one of the most reliable forms of contraception available. Levest can also help to regulate your periods and may be used to treat premenstrual syndrome (PMS). In some cases, it may also be prescribed to help with acne.
As Levest is a hormonal contraceptive, it works by preventing ovulation (the release of an egg from the ovary). This means that there is no egg available for fertilisation, so pregnancy cannot occur. Levest also thickens the mucus in the cervix, making it more difficult for sperm to travel through and reach an egg.
Levest is a highly effective contraceptive method, but it is not suitable for everyone. If you are over 35 years old and smoke, or have a history of blood clots, heart disease or stroke, you should not take Levest. You should also speak to your doctor before taking Levest if you have any other medical conditions.
How do I order my medication?
Some products only require an online consultation which approximately takes 1 minute to complete, enabling you to then buy the product. Other products will also require a prescription; in this case, you will need to complete the online consultation, and then one of our partner pharmacy prescribers or doctors will review the online consultation questions and approve the order for delivery if you are eligible to purchase the item.
Can I cancel or return my order?
For non-medicinal products, you are eligible to return the product within 14 days of receipt in the same packaging you received. For medicinal products, you are eligible to cancel the order only until it has been dispatched. From that point forward, you are no longer eligible to return the order.
You have the right to cancel your order for medication up to the point when your medication is dispatched.
